Choir Details Hartig Music is excited to start a children's choir in Battery Park! The choir will introduce children to group singing, two-part harmony, rounds, voice warm ups and healthy singing. It will be a fun, low-pressured choral experience, with a performance at the end!

Teachers Lindsay Lindsay has been singing before she could speak and thrives on making music in any way possible. She has been teaching voice and piano for over 10 years to students of all ages and believes in a student-centric approach to achieve one's highest potential. Lindsay holds a Masters in Music and Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She encourages her students with a holistic pedagogical approach, combining musical interpretation, theory, and song writing. Classically trained, Lindsay is versed in opera, jazz, pop, folk and more. In her other musical endeavors, Lindsay has directed handfuls of choirs, sung in dozens of groups, and is currently singing, playing piano and writing original tunes in a three piece band named the Corduroy Suit.
Daniel Guitarist, songwriter and music educator Dan Hartig, started hitting music stages around New York City at the age of 15. Some of his favorite gigs include The Cutting Room, Cafe Wha, Bitter End, Bar Next Door, The Oasis Rooftop Lounge, The Westin Hotel, Cafe Lalo, Silvana, Caffe Vivaldi, Howl Festival, Make Music New York and more! He developed his skills in creative process and collaboration as a jazz performance major/education minor at University of the Arts in Philadelphia and continues to perform with various artists at restaurants, jazz clubs, private events and festivals. Dan received his masters from Columbia University, Teachers College in music education with initial NY K-12 teaching certification. While a graduate student, he enjoyed pursuing his life-long passion for music through his many formal and informal teaching opportunities. They include the Zankel Fellowship, Musical Explorers program at Teachers College, workshops with the New York Philharmonic, PS 126, Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School, Kidville and Beit Rabban Day School. Dan is currently the music teacher at Pine Street School in New York City, where he is using a transdisciplinary, student-led approach to instrument exploration, music literacy and technology. In 2015, Dan launched Hartig Music, which offers a variety of musical opportunities for students of all ages. These opportunities include private lessons, family or group lessons, a band program, choir and summer music camp!
